5 Photography Apps for Android

If you’re like me, you take pictures everyday using your phone.  As much as I’d like to use my DSLR, it’s just not as accessible as my phone, you know?

Also, I don’t always have time to get on Photoshop to fix up my many shots.  So for me, photography apps are a MUST on my phone.

There are 3 things I must have in order to get my photos to have the look I want…

  1. filters – lots of choices for free, of course!
  2. collage – decisions are hard to make, I must use all the pics!
  3. easy user interface – I’m looking for quick fixes so I can share my pic right away, so the app has to be easy to use!

That being said, here are the 5 Android Photography Apps I use and highly recommend:

1.  PicsArt

“PicsArt is a free photo editor, drawing tool, art network, photo grid, collage maker and more. It’s a one-stop shop for your artistic and editing needs!”

2. PhotoGrid

“Photo Grid’s simple interface and outstanding menu of pre-designed grids make it the best collage app on the market. – CNET”

And may I add that it’s so absolutely perfect for making a collage that fits Instagram?

3.  Pixlr Express

“Pixlr Express is a fun and powerful photo editor that lets you quickly crop, rotate, and fine-tune any picture, all in a completely ad-free experience. Choose from over 2 million combinations of free effects, overlays, and borders to further personalize your image. Pixlr Express makes you look like a pro, even if you’ve never edited a photo before.”

4.  AfterFocus

“With AfterFocus, you can create a DSLR-style background blurred photo by simply selecting a focus area. Also, various filter effects offer you to create the most natural and realistic photo.”

And it has some filters too!

5.  Flipagram

“Create beautiful short video stories using your Facebook, Instagram and Camera Roll photos, set to music you love!”

I love doing this on special occasions so I can share with my family in the Philippines.  Best part….you are NOT limited to 6 or 30 seconds! And you can use music you already purchased on your phone!

So…do you use any of these?  If not, what photography DO you use?  I’d love to find other cool ones out there so let me know in the comments!
