Family :: A Thanksgiving Poem
It’s that time of year
when the family gets together
to share a bountiful meal
a symbol of a bountiful year
to appreciate one another
and remember years gone by
for bonds to be restored,
restrengthened, and revived
anxieties will be forgotten
amid the peals of laughter
and new plans made
for the days thereafter
Yes, it’s Thanksgiving
and give thanks is what we’ll do
to the family that we’ve got
to love that’s tried and true!
