They’ve been waiting for ages…to go outside and use this water table that had been sitting inside our home, nice and dry, since it came in the post.

And although we’re on drought alert, I’ve decided that this wasn’t really that bad – when it comes to wasting water.

I filled it up and said, “This is all you’re getting, so don’t spill it.  I’m not filling it up again.  Have fun!”

And they played together for about an hour, until I called them in.

TOGETHER.

Then they scooped up the water and watered the plants.  Water NOT wasted.

Sigh.  I just love the way summer has the tendency to bring kids together.  It makes setting up all their darn toys so worth the while…
