Hello, Rain
If you know me, you know I LOVE rain.
Lucky me. It’s been raining for three days now, with some more due tomorrow.
Thanks, El Nino.
Of course, I’m well aware that not everyone’s been welcoming this much rain in California. I do pray that there will be no lives (and homes) lost due to this much rain.
I’ve been hearing in the news that there are mud flows, mud slides, and flooding in many places due to the steady outpouring of rain.
Right now, as I type this post, I hear the patter of raindrops on my roof get softer, louder, softer, and louder still… It’s a thunderstorm, alright. I’m partly thankful for it though, because California really needed to re-stock its water supply. Remember last year’s drought?
Still, I truly wish we could go jump in the muddy puddles and just play around in the rain. But we’re all still recovering from a cold around here. Coughs and sniffles are still abound. Watching rain from indoors looks to be our future, for now.
Nevertheless, I couldn’t pass up this brief chance of stepping outside for a moment to capture a couple of shots.
So how about in you? Are you enjoying the rain? Cursing it to hell? Or has rain turned to snow? We’d love to see how El Nino has affected your part of the world!
Gathering Graces
